Pink chairs!
Pink chairs!

Over the last couple of years I was based in Europe and had a stint in London (why I didn’t blog that is beyond me arrgh!…anyway I digress). Just tonight I was sitting with my friend http://earthlyparadiseorsomething.blogspot.com/ reminiscing about the Tate Modern http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/, a powerhouse in Modern Art in the world and I’d have to say probably my favourite – big call I know.  Well, can you argue? At the moment I could be seeing Mark Rothko paintings.  Forget the artworks for a minute, just even the building itself is to be admired.  It was formerly a power station until 1982, then converted in 2000 to the present space we see today.  It takes such a strong presence on the River Thames, and then inside, you never know what you’re going to get.  For instance, the crack along the floor was an installation piece.  Looking outside from upstairs, well how could one not be inspired!? Hence the pink chairs and lady shot.

Just some snaps and a few words really on a gallery that lives on its own.  <insert wistful sigh here>, London.
