Lisa OHara Fundraising Benefit #2

On Saturday a second fundraiser event was held for the lovely Lisa. Lisa is fighting her cancer head on and to continue the fight she needs financial help. Like last time, in February, I came along and captured the story of the fundraising day itself. Held at Bundoora Park Heritage Village, this event attracted more people and was an even bigger success. Lots of sexy bikes and babes, lots of photographers, lots of prizes to win, lots of lovely hugs. It was a great day and is set to become an annual event.

Lisa, the fabulous chicky in white, despite her recent surgery, made a point to have a great day and to get around and say hello and thank you to as many people as possible.

Your wish, Lisa, was that everyone would walk away feeling a little happier at the end of the day. I would say it most certainly came true.

Love life, indeed.

There she is, Lisa herself.

Some models hanging out by one of the cars.

The sun was pumping, so whoever brought this diffuser along was up there for thinking.
Nice work, boys.

Everyone was called in for speeches and to draw the raffle.
Darryn is a co-organiser at the right, he worked hard to make this event happen.

Terrence Credlin, left, a champion for Lisa and co-organiser of the event.

Lisa was presented with an unexpected gift.

Everyone wants to see what it is.

Lisa delivered a cracking speech.

You couldn’t have asked for a better day, the Autumn sun was beautiful.

Who dat?
Yep, that’s me all right.

Lisa’s hugs were in plentiful supply.
Anyone that wanted one, got one.

All right now, back on the job.

Hang on that’s not a model!
That’s Charles, he brought his Rolls Royce.

The day wouldn’t be complete without hair and makeup.

Photographers, assume the position.

Ok I couldn’t resist this little treasure.

Good times, a great day.

It’s uncanny how many photographers you’ll meet that will hate having their picture taken.

And to end on a lovely note, Lisa with her parents Carmel and Shane.

I’d say Shane goes for the laughs in this household.

Lovely.

Well done Beth…
After meeting Lisa at the Feb event, it was not only a pleasure, but a mission to organise an event even bigger on this side of Melbourne..
As I said in a couple of my speeches, I was genuinely and emotionally overwhelmed by the attendance and the support, shown to a lovely girl that, I believe it is safe to say, more than 1/2 didn’t know…
Lisa, all these people were touched by your story, as I was, and it show…
I am sure that with yours, and your awesome parents appreciation shown on the day, these people would love to be right behind all the way…
With your Fight, your love of life, your appreciation, WE ALL LOVE YA….

Hi Beth
honestly i have never come across someone who can tell a story thru images like you do.
each one is a treasured moment of a day that will forever live in the memories of all who attended
i think that the final series with Lisa and her parents really captured the strong bond that the O’Hara family have its honest fun and filled with love
we as a group who plan these events are blessed that we have you come along and capture the events so beautifully.

thank you my friend
cheers
