It was such an amazing day. I’ve had a beautiful few months getting to know Candice and Minh, they are just one of those lovely couples where you see how well they go together, like peas in a pod, always laughing together. They have big families so there was about 200 people at the wedding. A bit of organised chaos really, but even so, the day still had a very genuine and intimate feeling.
My mission was to capture the sentiments, the excitement and the energy of the day. I wanted my photographs to pick up all the details that Candice and Minh might have missed or have since forgotten. A grab here, a grab there, little snippets that will show them the spirit and personality of their special day. These images need to hold up in fifty years time. They need to have beauty, grace, a little bit of humour, and a little bit of romance. My personal favourite is the vertical image of Candice and Minh holding hands and looking down at their rings. I feel a sense of anticipation of the future in that single photograph. This is the beginning of the rest of their lives as a married couple.
Thank you Candice and Minh, for choosing me to capture this very special day in your family story. I wish you both all the happiness in the world.
xx

Thank you Diane! You’ve got a keen eye to pick up the story in that one particular image. It was really beautiful, they way they did that song in the church, really touching.
Absolutely love the elderly & younger hands and ‘Ave Maria’…..wonderful, moving documentation, Beth
