In every respect, every family is different. This means that when it comes to providing excellent service as a professional photographer, it’s vitally important to tailor what I do to the family in question – there is no one size fits all in my operation. Amy and Matt enquired with me about creating lasting, sensitive images of their beautiful family at this critical stage – they have two precious gems under the age of five, Anna and Evie. As we all know, the sweetness, cuteness and delights of children at this age are fleeting. They wanted the details captured now, and for the final pieces to make an artful statement for their walls.
In keeping with my vision for Your Family Story, Amy and Matt selected the Royal National Park for their family photo session. They love this place - it’s very tranquil and calming, and in harmony with their personalities. We planned the session well. We applied for permission to shoot there, Matt took the day off from his 11-hour-a-day job to spend it with his family, and Amy carefully planned the details of clothing and special toys to bring. I then set about creating touching images that would stand the test of time. In this session there was a focus on the family as a whole. I aimed for their connection and personality, and I also captured the individual people authentically and with the amazing backdrop as my canvas. Well, we couldn’t really go wrong.
Sufficed to say, Matt and Amy loved them. We assessed their walls and tailored their wall print purchase for the spaces they have. They found it hard to part with many of the images. Aside from their wall art pieces, they also decided to invest in a set of ten favourites, individually matted and signed and frame ready, that will serve as beautiful gifts for the girls and the grandparents.
A sensitively executed family photo session, crafted to perfection and produced precisely as they needed it…and this is why I love what I do.
Thank you Matt and Amy, I thoroughly enjoyed working with you to create Your 2011 Family Story. I know the beautiful wall art that you created of your family will give you daily pleasure for many years to come.

Anna sizes me up.

This is the main centre piece they selected.
It gives the perfect insight to the overall setting and feeling of Matt and Amy’s family.

Matt and Amy have very warm and calming personalities.

…and this divine little creature is just too sweet…hi Evie!

Anna had control of the colour scheming with her fabulous skirt.
I just love how she’s totally trusting of Matt, with her little feet hanging down…love that tummy rub.

Sometimes the success is in the details – the light in Anna’s hair, the gentle breeze across her cheek, and her gorgeous soulful eyes.

Let’s not forget that Daddies can be yummy too!!

Teeny weeny feet in gorgeous little shoes!
Little ones at this age are so scrummy and cuddly.

I love the connection of mother and daughter in these.
I don’t think Anna would choose to be anywhere else in these, nor Amy for that matter!

Everyone remembers when they learned to ride a bike.
The question is, do they remember how much joy it gave their parent to give the lesson?

Oh my, I could get lost in those eyes, what a sweetheart.

I love Amy in these. She is so attentive to Evie in every way. She absolutely adores her.
What a lucky little girl Evie is.

Home time.
