Little One Baby (coming soon)

I’m a bit excited. Wanna know why? Because I’m about to embark on a three-edition, 12 month advertising campaign for my beautiful, lovely, very special product called Your Family Story. In which magazine you ask? The gorgeous, luscious, heartfelt Little ONE Baby. I met the associate editor Amy in Bendigo a couple of months ago…

Goodbye Melbourne (until Spring)

I’m here in Melbourne for a few more days and tying off some loose ends. I’ll be back here in September. The late afternoon light has crept in and raked across this gum tree. This is when I get all nostalgic about being Australian, about when it’s time to head off. Because I’m not just…

Awww hi Raymond! So great that you stopped by two write a few words, thanks so much! So you’re a Melbourne man – yes it’s like Berlin – but Berlin is on steroids in comparison. I do love both cities, there is a particular vibe. Spain sounds awesome!!! Perfecto – yes let’s definitely catch up this summer. B

Raymond Mercieca - May 6, 2012 - 8:30 pm

hi Beth I like the Melbourne / Berlin thing too!
I just wish that I could get to spend more time in Melbourne though. That’s the drawback of having job security -only 6 weeks holidays/year and the wish not too spend them all in the same place.
Now back to planning the 2 weeks in July in Valencia/Barcelona….. I’m sure that I will see you when you’re in Berlin. cheers Raymond

I met the inimitable Robin from The Brand Clinic earlier this year in Melbourne. We are both busy establishing our businesses in Melbourne, (she was from Perth) and…

The Launch

How to explain the collaborative process? Ah…it’s a mysterious thing, arriving at the final destination. You would think, looking at this video, that the written content was complete and as you hear it now, before we shot the images. It didn’t quite roll out that way… Emma has been exploring various themes in her…

Oh you say it so well Emma, staying open is the key to the collaboration indeed. I think we are both very good at that – the flow of ideas goes back and forth until we massage the piece to a point of completion… I do love working with you my dear you are amazing!! See you in Spring time so we can continue the collaborative adventure xx

Emma - May 12, 2012 - 12:14 pm

It is so wonderful to work with a photographer like Beth, she has such an intricate eye for visual language. Her photos tell stories I could never write on my own and I love how she captures beauty in every frame. There’s always so much love in her work. I think that staying open is the only way to collaborate effectively – you never know exactly what will happen, you just have to be ready to recognise and capture it when it does. Something Beth does very well. Hurry up and come back from Berlin please, I’m ready for more! xx

On Saturday a second fundraiser event was held for the lovely Lisa. Lisa is fighting her cancer head on and to continue the fight she needs financial help. Like last time, in February, I came along and captured the story of the fundraising day itself. Held at Bundoora Park Heritage Village, this event attracted more…

Darryn Lee - April 16, 2012 - 7:44 pm

Well done Beth…
After meeting Lisa at the Feb event, it was not only a pleasure, but a mission to organise an event even bigger on this side of Melbourne..
As I said in a couple of my speeches, I was genuinely and emotionally overwhelmed by the attendance and the support, shown to a lovely girl that, I believe it is safe to say, more than 1/2 didn’t know…
Lisa, all these people were touched by your story, as I was, and it show…
I am sure that with yours, and your awesome parents appreciation shown on the day, these people would love to be right behind all the way…
With your Fight, your love of life, your appreciation, WE ALL LOVE YA….

Hi Beth
honestly i have never come across someone who can tell a story thru images like you do.
each one is a treasured moment of a day that will forever live in the memories of all who attended
i think that the final series with Lisa and her parents really captured the strong bond that the O’Hara family have its honest fun and filled with love
we as a group who plan these events are blessed that we have you come along and capture the events so beautifully.

thank you my friend
cheers
T

Lisa Lionheart

Back in February I photographed a fundraising event for Lisa. Amazing girl. Recently she had very invasive surgery and yet today she still made a stellar appearance at her April fundraiser. This will become an annual event held in February. A sneak peak from today of Lisa with her parents Carmel and Shane. More soon…
