a Friday Night Picnic

Mark and Lynelle had always wanted to have some photography of their family.  Problem was, they looked but couldn’t see what they liked in terms of style and execution.  For years, they said, this had gone on…until we crossed paths! Lynelle in particular was so excited about having real photography done of her growing family.  Their…

Awww thanks Amy!!! That late afternoon light was so great, very inspiring!! Thanks so much for stopping in to take a look…it is fascinating isn’t it, what we end up with?

Amy Gibson - March 9, 2011 - 3:18 pm

These photos are great- I was going to try and name a favourite one, but can’t :)

Actually maybe I can, the photo of Lauren picking flowers with the clouds approaching from the left. That one took my breath away.

Beth Jennings - March 2, 2011 - 3:17 pm

Wow thanks Lynelle! All credit to you, you all took my direction so well at the start, and behaved normally with the usual degree of spontenaity as well. I’m glad you say I was there without being there…I wish I was invisible really, so that’s the best feedback, thank you again Lynelle! All the best… x

Lynelle - March 2, 2011 - 2:09 pm

Beth, you have captured the simplicity and atmosphere of our Friday Night Picnics so well. We enjoyed sharing our formula of family + food + fun, and appreciated how you were both there and not there, taking photos while appearing to just hang out with us for a while. We love the result, thank you.

They really are a lovely family aren’t they? And courageous to put themselves in front of the camera. They were very natural in the wall style, so the pictures are very real. The result really shows how close they are to one another. Thanks for your thoughts Janet and John!

Thanks so much Kathy!!!! It was a really lovely session, very rewarding. And your comment comes all the way from Toronto!!! How’s Jess going? I bet she and Lauren would get along like a house on fire :) send my best wishes to your gang xx

Love these. I am especially enamoured with the one of Lauren’s “burst of joy”. Gorgeous!

Janet & John - March 1, 2011 - 8:06 pm

Beautiful photos, even though we are biased, we are very proud of them all especially the different ways they have all been there for Lynelle when she has needed them. Love to you all.

In bloggy land things have been quiet, I know, sorry…there is new, beautiful work to show…and it’s coming soon. 2011 is a year for putting it all out there, which means testing the ways to put it all out there…so marketing has been the name of the game just at the moment.  I’m meeting lots…

Your Loyal Companion

Wendy came to pick up her pictures.  She decided to take a boxed set of ten 8×12″ prints (about A4 size) individually mounted and signed, ready for her own frames. She also took some 5×7″ prints as gifts for her mother in Canada.  She opted for a groovy little purse book with her two favourite images, and the gorgeous crystal…
